The Rescue Board is an agency of the Ministry of the Interior. 01.as of 07.2021, the Rescue Board had 2080 employees, making it the third largest public sector body in Estonia.

The Rescue Board has 5 sectors - prevention, safety supervision, rescue, demining and emergency preparedness. In total, the Rescue Board provides 59 services, including 28 basic services and 31 support services.
