Child care during conference

Dear parents!

We are offering a childcare for your children while you are enjoying the conference!

The childcare is organized in the venue of the conference - in the children room of Estonian National Museum. At least two experienced childcare workers will provide a safe and fun environment to you children. This is a great opportunity for your children to mingle and become friends with other children of scientists! Childcare is opened from 9 am until 5 pm from Monday to Friday during the conference.

Science Centre AHHAA

The AHHAA-experience is created with the help of plenty of hands-on exhibitions, a planetarium, workshops, and of course the science theatre that is full of special effects.


Tartu Toy Museum and Theatre House

Toys that evoke nostalgia can be seen in playful exhibitions – dolls, doll houses, souvenir dolls from different nations, traditional Finno-Ugric toys, stuffed toys, toy cars, film and theatre puppets, and many more. The playroom on the second floor of the museum is intended for families to enjoy a great time together.

Upside Down House 

A house that offers a dizzying adventure for both young and old, and this in a literal sense – the house is turned upside down.


Tartu adventure parks

Here are several options to spend time with the whole family in Tartu and nearby Tartu from outdoor climbing activities to indoor moto and trampoline centres.


University of Tartu Botanical Garden,

which is the oldest continuously operating botanical garden in the Baltics. The garden is located in the centre of the city in the beautiful park area beside the Emajõgi River.


Ice Age Centre – a unique theme park

In the centre, you will find mock-ups of ice age animals and humans, post-glacial nature, children’s playground (cave) and the answer to the question “Will there be another Ice Age?”. The Ice Age Centre is located outside Tartu on the shore of Lake Saadjärv, view on map.


Elistvere Animal Park

Native wild animals such as foxes, roe deer, a bear, lynxes, an elk, bison have settled here in conditions similar to those they experience in nature. A boardwalk will take the visitors to a viewing platform by Lake Elistvere where you can admire the lake’s rich bird population. Elistvere Animal Park is located outside Tartu, situating in a beautiful landscape area with lakes called Vooremaa, view on map.
